Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses

 

 

Also this year's Euroconference is organized within the framework of an EC Marie Curie Programme. Thanks to the financial support of the EC, there are a number of grants available to the participants for registration, travel or living expenses (within the financial limits imposed by the European Commission regulations).

 

Three groups are eligible for support:

 

GROUP 1: Participants attending the conference for training purposes, who are at the time of attendance in the first 4 years of their research activities (since gaining a university degree giving access to doctoral studies in the country in which the degree was obtained) and have not yet obtained a doctoral degree.

 

GROUP 2: Participants attending the conference for training purposes, who have at the time of attendance at least 4 years and less than 10 years of research experience (since gaining a university degree giving access to doctoral studies in the country in which the degree was obtained) and have or have not yet obtained a doctoral degree.

 

GROUP 3: Participants attending the conference for contact purposes, having at the time of attendance more than 10 years of research experience. In this group, the participant must be a citizen of a European Union member or Associated state and be active in research outside the Member State and Associated States at the time of the conference.

 

European State Members: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, United Kingdom.

Associated States: Bulgaria, Croatia, Iceland, Israel, Liechtenstein, Norway, Romania, Switzerland and Turkey.

Application:

 

Applications for a MC scholarship will only be considered if they are accompanied by a preregistration to the conference.

 

1. Fill in the online preregistration form, including the questions regarding the application for a scholarship and the abstract information.

 

2. Send the following documents to the ECDO secretariat only by e-mail:

  • Your abstract as a text file (Lastname.doc or lastname.rtf; template available)

  • Your Curriculum Vitae, clearly stating your personal details (including nationality) and an overview of your educational and professional career (with dates!).

  • A letter of motivation to attend the conference

  • A list of publications (can be included in the CV file)

  • For Group 1: a (signed) supporting letter from the head of the department/lab.

 

The deadline for scholarship application is May 31, 2006. Participants who applied for a scholarship will be notified by July 15 at the latest.
